Feed Me Ten-Thousand DosesAutumn melts the mist,
and I find my head leading the way
with my feet ten steps behind,
no purchase, no wash on the ocean bed.
My laces are missing,
and the soles of my shoes are
as of late, unbroken.
I cannot see past moving objects
most days. The darkness spirals
to try to ensnare me,
and I have no tenderness left
to withold.

The mongroves and mongoose
tell me they are nothing close
to the same,

tear at these pages and these books

some other creature with some other dream.

Perhaps the peanut butter sticking to my roof

But my metabolism is winning bitterly
Uncovering the rot of need for my survival.

There are footsteps trudging the empty pavement
Littered by faces distant in worlds I cannot
Touch as I find myself lifeless and light
Consumed by frailty embittered by economy.

cruel passion that strikes my eyes.

are these vivid lives.

perhaps if death could present himself,
with the truth that I seek
then maybe I could sieze this love I feel
and strike it with reality.

reality of love and lost.
reality of there then gone.
maybe if I set these feelings ablaze.
that color, sweet color, would finally fade.

my screams?

the roaring
waves in this
sea of emotion?

the lightning

Those small, damp spaces full of quiet lies,
the many hues of joy, painted widely across.
The crowded streets, the narrow alleys—
they all reflect our dying, desperate dream.

of the many sounds and many tastes.
Aromas of the cooked meats and freshly woven fruits,
Of the old shoe-maker down the silver street,
the ice-vendor with his icy, frosted treats.

I was so caught unawares
Headfirst he saw me fall

CallusesA flaming leaf in my palm,
calluses a bitter balm,
life fading with no recognition.
Tears stream my face,
the sadness becoming interlaced,
in my swirling emotions.
Without notice it will disappear,
whimper with the sense of fear,
that the ashes in my hand will be me as well.
I close my fist around the black dust,
and in it I feel rising trust,
I shall remember their ashes.
CharadesFlowing tranquility
binds with melancholy,
the familiar nostalgia,
and the repetition of lies
inside a house of cards
as you crawl inside this labyrinth
of thoughts.

Don't wander too close,
don't amble along the defenses,
just observe the height and amuse me;
play a game of charades with me

Pretend that you love me,
until I fall apart again.
